Special Olympics Canada is thrilled to announce Kia Canada as our newest national partner!
Kia has come on board to support the more than 40,000 Special Olympics athletes with an intellectual disability as Special Olympics Canada’s national automotive partner. We could not be more excited to welcome Kia to the Special Olympics family and have them help us spread our message of inclusion and acceptance!
“Kia is proud to pledge our support to the organization that does so much to ensure that Canadians with intellectual disabilities are able to feel part of a community, improve their health and fitness, build their self-esteem and to develop other life skills,” said Ted Lancaster, VP & COO, Kia Canada Inc.
“Led by myself, Kia will take a hands-on role in helping to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Special Olympics – as well as helping to spread their message of acceptance and inclusion.”
The partnership will take effect immediately, supporting national and regional efforts, ensuring that the many year-round, world-class programs are provided with the resources needed to help change attitudes and create a more inclusive society.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kia Canada to the Special Olympics family,” said Sharon Bollenbach, CEO, Special Olympics Canada.
“Like Kia, Special Olympics is all about the ‘power to surprise,’ and with this support, we will continue to grow our movement and demonstrate that people with intellectual disabilities can, and will succeed when given the opportunity.”
