RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The location of all draws will be in the CKRW studio, located at 203-4103 4th Avenue, Whitehorse, YT.

The time of each draw, listed below is 12:15 pm YT time.

50/50 add-on Draw, January 9, 2025

Regular Draw Thursday, March 6, 2025

Regular Draw Thursday, May 1, 2025

2. The number of Trip of the Month Raffle tickets printed is 1000. The price is $100. Total maximum value $ 100,000.

3. The number of Trip of the 50/50 add-on tickets printed is 1000. The price is $20. Total maximum value $ 20,000.

4. The only way to buy a 50/50 Raffle ticket is by purchasing a Trip of the Month Raffle Ticket with the 50/50 add-on, which is limited to 1 per Trip of the Month ticket.

a. Scenario A – John Smith buys one (1) “Trip of the Month Raffle” ticket, John is entitled to purchase one (1) “50/50 add-on raffle” ticket.
b. Scenario B – Jill Jones buys three (3) “Trip of the Month Raffle” tickets, Jill is entitled to purchase up to three (3) “50/50 add-on raffle” tickets.

5. Each ticket is entered into all the draws, with the exception of the Early Bird Draw, which is only open to those purchasing tickets prior to October 1, 2024. However, each ticket is only eligible to win ONCE per draw. For example, ticket #123 won the first prize ($3,500 travel credit or $3,000 cash) on the July 3, 2025 draw date, therefore ticket #123 is NOT eligible for the second and third prizes on July 3, 2025.

6. Each ticket is eligible to win one of the three prizes each month, regardless if they have won in the past. For example, ticket #555 won a prize during the February 6 draw. Ticket #555 is still eligible to win a prize in the March to December draws
7. It shall be a condition of each and every license issued that the prizes shall be drawn for each draw as follows;

a. The ticket drawn first shall be awarded the first and most valuable prize
b. The ticket drawn second shall be awarded the second most valuable prize
c. The ticket drawn third shall be awarded the third most valuable prize

8. List of prizes;
a. Early Bird Prize – First Prize $1000
b. 50/50 add-on Draw Prize – 50% of the gross ticket sales up to a maximum of $10,000
c. Regular Draw Prizes – Per draw date
i. First Prize - $3,500 travel credit with Klondike Travel, or cash prize - $3,000
ii. Second Prize - $250 cash
iii. Third Prize - $100 cash

9. A copy of the license must be produced for examination by anyone who asks to see it

10. Ticket sales for both raffles will begin on September 9, 2024 and end on December 20, 2024, unless sold out before this date

11. Early Bird Ticket sales will end on October 1, 2024, 11:59 pm YT time, unless sold out before this date. ONLY tickets purchased between September 9, 2024 and October 1, 2024, are entered in the Early Bird Draw for $1,000 cash, happening on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 12:15 pm YT time.

12. Tickets shall not be advertised or sold outside the Yukon, but may be sold to non-residents who are visiting the Yukon

13. After each draw, all winners will be posted on the Special Olympics Yukon website and on the “Law Enforcement Torch Run – Yukon, Canada” Facebook page

14. Winning ticket holders will be contacted by the Special Olympics Yukon Society and will have 6 days to claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed within the allotted timeframe, a second ticket will be drawn on the following day at 12:15 pm YT time. For example, ticket #456 was drawn on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The owner of this ticket has until Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 4:00 pm YT time to claim their prize. If the prize remains unclaimed the new draw will be conducted for the unclaimed prize on Thursday, August 14, 2025, 12:15 pm YT time

15. Winners must decide within 30 days of winning a first place prize if they wish to choose the $3,500 travel credit or $3,000 cash

16. All travel credit prizes must be redeemed (in other words, travel is booked), within 180 days of the date it was won

17. Travel credit has no monetary value and is NOT redeemable for cash

18. For online tickets sales through the “square system”, the actual physical ticket will be mailed to the purchaser within three days of their purchase. Sales will be processed by the Special Olympics Yukon Office and mailed to the purchaser via Canada Post. All tickets should be delivered within 10 business days of the purchase.
