The Polar Plunge is BACK

Are you brr-ave enough to take the Plunge for Special Olympics Saskatchewan and its over 1200 athletes? Join us and the many Law Enforcement officers at Cabelas in Saskatoon and plunge into freezing waters to show your support. Let's get #FreezinForAReason!

What is a Polar Plunge?

As the name implies, the Polar Plunge is a winter fundraising event whereby individuals have the “honour” of bravely jumping into freezing cold waters in the middle of the bitter Saskatchewan winter. They are able to participate by paying a registration fee, securing donations from friends, family members, co-workers, local businesses, or their community. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations, and businesses—to get involved in support of Special Olympics and show winter who’s boss.

How Does the Polar Plunge Raise Money?

Plungers will pay the registration fee and fundraise to be able to take part in the Plunge.  Costumes are strongly encouraged! Select “Register” and start raising funds either individually or as part of a team.

Individuals can also register to fundraise for Special Olympics Saskatchewan without taking the plunge. These participants raise money by collecting pledges.

Prizes will be awarded for most funds raised as an individual and as a team.

*Please note: The registration cost is $100 for an individual to plunge.
