How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
It has fulfilled my feeling of accomplishments in seeing the joy in the eyes of the athletes.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
I love that our sport is a small cohesive group, and how they all come together as a team.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
My proudest moment has been seeing the athletes succeed in their sports by doing their best after training so hard. A personal proudest moment of mine was seeing my own son win a silver medal in basketball at a Special Olympics Canada Games.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
To me, being a part of Special Olympics Team Canada and attending World Games means that I am able to work with coaches and athletes to help them be the best that they can be – through sport, and fun!
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
My goal is to enjoy the whole experience and to make sure that everyone is experiencing the same thing. And of course, to help my athletes achieve their very best in Bocce.
