How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

For 31 years.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I get to meet others and make new friends. I have been able to compete in sports I like, travel across Ontario, Canada and even other countries. I have fun and win lots of medals.

What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?

I like being in water and I really like to compete. This has been my dream since joining Special Olympics in London, Ontario, Canada.

What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?

My proudest moment was being a part of Team Canada for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter games in Austria. I competed in Alpine Skiing.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

I have wanted to compete in swimming at a World Games since I started swimming.

What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?

My goal is to bring home a medal for Canada and myself, and if I cannot, to do my best.
