How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

Six to seven years.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I am very involved locally and have many activities to take part in. I have really enjoyed the travel and have made many friends with people outside my hometown.  

What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?

I like moving a lot. I like to be active. By competing in track and field I get to train in cardio and strength.

What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?

Receiving three gold medals in Thunder Bay was overwhelming for me. I worked so hard to get there and was so surprised by my success with so much competition there!

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

It means that I am part of a successful team that has a name for itself in Canada. It means being able to meet and compete against other athletes. I am so proud to represent Canada!

What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?

My new goal is to run the 800 meter in one minute and 49 seconds.
