Rachael Loggie, Charlottetown, has been involved in Special Olympics for 14 years. During this time Rachael has participated, and competed, in a number of sports, including Swimming, Curling, Soccer, Community, and Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Rachael has participated in Rhythmic Gymnastics since the sport was first introduced in 2014. Rachael's natural gracefulness, and strong dance background, made her a natural at the sport, which combined with hard work and focus, have lead to her success. Rachael earned her spot on Team PEI 2018 following a strong showing at Provincial Games. Rachael placed 2nd in each of the four Level 1 apparatuses.
While 2018 might mark the first time PEI has sent a Rhythmic Gymnast to National Games, this will not be Rachael's first time representing PEI on the National Stage. Rachael was a member of Team PEI Swimming, at the young age of 17, at the 2010 National Summer Games in London, Ontario.
Please join us in cheering on Team PEI's only Rhythmic Gymnastics athlete, Rachael Loggie, as she goes for gold at the 2018 National Summer Games.
