When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I was about 13 years old when I joined Special Olympics swimming, then I went into curling, then soccer and then golf.
Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes.
What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?
Our team won a gold medal and it was very exciting! I was very happy.
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?
It's a great opportunity! I'm looking forward to the Games, meeting other athletes, and having fun.
What is your goal for these National Games?
I want to do my best to win!
What does competing at National Games mean to you?
It's a big deal to go to National Games and I feel very lucky!
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like sweeping in curling and playing with my teammates.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
I liked going to Kamloops, I liked competing and taking part in the activities.
What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?
It's a great way to challenge your skills and meet new people.
What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?
Swimming, curling, soccer, golf, basketball, and Club Fit.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am pretty easy going and get along with people.
