Special Olympics BC is a chapter of Special Olympics Canada, a national, not-for-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Canadians with intellectual disabilities through sport. More than 45,000 Canadians with intellectual disabilities participate in Special Olympics programs across Canada.

Special Olympics BC is affiliated with Special Olympics International, a global organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports training and competition. More than 4.9 million people with intellectual disabilities are involved in Special Olympics in more than 172 countries around the world.
