With summer upon us, it’s important to talk about sun safety and the steps you need to take to protect yourself from the sun!
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30 or higher whenever you spend extended periods of time outdoors.
- Be aware that the sun is strong even on cloudy days.
- Apply sunscreen liberally and evenly to all exposed skin.
- Be sure to cover often-missed spots: the lips, ears, around the eyes, neck, scalp, hands, and the underside of chin
