    SOBC athletes and coaches gearing up for the 2025 Canada Summer Games

    We are thrilled to announce the eight talented Special Olympics BC athletes and four dedicated SOBC coaches who will be part of Team BC in swimming and track and field at the 2025 Canada Summer Games!

    They will join over 4,000 athletes, coaches, and managers who are competing for their provinces and territories, representing the sports they have trained tirelessly for.  

    The Canada Summer Games is not a Special Olympics event, but they proudly choose to include Special Olympics athletes. It’s an exciting chance for Special Olympics athletes to show their abilities and compete alongside top young athletes from across the country. The Canada Summer Games is separate and different from Special Olympics BC Games and Special Olympics Canada Games.

    Swimming

    This year's Canada Summer Games will be held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, from August 8 to 25, 2025. Featuring 20 sports, the event will celebrate the incredible talent of young athletes from across the country and showcase the very best in Canadian sport.
