When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I started Special Olympics in 2003.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, 2008, 2016, and 2020.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

Our team came in first in the A division. I felt good about my performance.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

It is an honour to be part of Special Olympics Team BC.

What is your goal for these National Games?

For our floor hockey team to make it to World Games.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

Meeting new friends and connecting with old ones.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I get to hang out with my friends who are on the team.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

You get to meet a lot of good athletes and coaches.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I work full-time at a recycling depot. I like to play video games alone and with friends, and watch hockey.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Amazing.
