In this Virtual Healthy Athletes Education Session, to be hosted on Zoom, we will be discussing how to lead a healthy lifestyle. This Health Promotion session will include topics such as Nutrition, Hydration, Strong Bones, Hand Washing, and Sun Safety.
We will also be going through a delicious, nutrient-packed, fall-themed recipe. We encourage athletes to come prepared with the ingredients below, in order to follow along as we create our healthy recipe! If you would prefer to simply watch the recipe being made, that is great too! See below for the ingredients needed for this recipe.
• 2 cups oats
• 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
• 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
• 1/4 cup chia seeds (*not required)
• 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
• generous pinch of salt
• 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
The Virtual Healthy Athletes Session will be hosted on Zoom, and will be recorded in order to use in the future for education purposes.
Registered participants will be sent the link for the Zoom meeting 24 hours before the forum.
Athletes are not required to have their video function enabled (turned on) if they do not feel comfortable, it is entirely up to each participant!
Athletes are invited and encouraged to try out Zoom before this call. Please don't hesitate to contact Marlow if you have any questions at all!
