Home for the Holidays

Special Olympics Alberta Presents - Home for the Holidays!

Programs may be on pause, but your holiday spirit doesn't have to be. While we can't gather in person this year, that doesn't mean we have to spend the season alone. Join us for a month full of fun events, reflection, celebration, and connection!

Tune in to our socials throughout December to see what we have up our sleeves! All members are welcome to join in on the fun - volunteers, supporters, athletes, and community partners alike!

2020 has been a very different year, and through it all one thing rings true - we still have each other, and community is more important than ever. Join your Special Olympics family in celebrating the season with all of the following events set to take place on Zoom.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Courtney at clacoste@specialolympicsedmonton.ca

Cards with Ally & Court - December 4, 6:00 pm

Get creative with Special Olympics Edmonton’s Ally & Court and make a card to celebrate the holidays! We will be providing a template and the best part is – you don’t need any supplies you don’t already have in your home! If you have a paper and a pencil or pen, you have everything you need. We will select a design and you can use any materials you have at your disposal to make it happen – think paint night but cards instead!

We welcome all members to try this activity out with us – NO art experience needed! Keep the card for yourself, or send it out to someone you care about! Sending cards to celebrate the holidays is a long tradition because it is inexpensive and thoughtful, and a great way to say “I’m thinking of you”.

At the end of our session, we will show you how you can make a virtual card to send to Canadian Armed Forces members serving overseas this holiday season, if interested in doing so!

Just us for a night of laughs and festive spirit as we kick off Festive Fridays!
