Special Olympics have been a part of Johnathan’s life since 2001. He became a floor hockey coach in Quebec, which allowed him to take part in National and World Games alongside his team. Since then, he has been Head Coach for his local chapter’s basketball program, a committee member of his provincial program, a member of the Special Olympics Quebec Board of Directors as well as an official for floor hockey. Johnathan says when he thinks about the genuine friendships he has developed with his fellow volunteers, the life lessons he was taught by the many athletes he has worked with, he feels he has received so much more than he has given. Thank you Johnathan for your commitment and dedication to our movement. You are an inspiration!
“Thanks to the Special Olympics for welcoming me and giving me the privilege of being one of their volunteers.”
