Concussion Research Study – coaches and health professionals needed

Hollandbloorview logo

We invite you to participate in a study conducted by a team of researchers from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Special Olympics has partnered with Holland Bloorview to conduct a study regarding concussion knowledge and awareness.

The purpose of this study is to understand what healthcare practitioners and coaches affiliated with Special Olympics Canada currently know about concussions and how concussion knowledge, attitudes and practices may change over the next five years. It is our hope that the information we learn from this study will be used to help us develop education interventions for coaches and health professionals around concussion, as well as help to inform concussion policy development to best support the health and wellness needs for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

For this study, we are interested in collecting data from surveys. The survey will take you 5 to 10 minutes to complete. As a thank you, you can be entered into a draw to win 1 of 12 $50 Amazon gift cards.  If you are a coach and are interested in learning more and/ or would like to participate, please click here.
